Hoxton Select 2011
Hoxton Select is an Arts Council funded project that puts Young People in control of one of the most dynamic arts venues in London.
Over the past five months, the panel of 14-26 year-olds have made regular visits to the theatre, taken part in group discussions and workshops, and had the chance to gain a real insight into what goes on behind Hoxton Hall.
An open Call for Submissions was made in October 2010 for budding young theatre groups/companies to submit their proposals for a theatre project to be staged in Spring 2011. During the following months, the panel carefully reviewed and considered every single application, before drawing up a shortlist of companies for a series of 'scratch and pitch' sessions in January.
To find out what goes on during one of the sessions, read about what happened when A Younger Theatre dropped in on one of them here.
Finally, after many months of hard work, we are pleased to present REBIRTH, the Hoxton Select Season premiering in London this May 2011. You can find the full lineup, and more information about the projects here.
